Re: Two Faces Of Gig Promotion in Birmingham
by
ClubUnCooked
I'd just like to point out before criticising promotors that venues like the Flapper & Firkin cost money. For example, the gig at The Flapper costed £50 deposit and then an extra £70 for the sound engineer - and that's without the cost of the advertising posters. So basically even I didn't make any money out of this gig, and I don't mind that you don't agree with the way we work our gigs, but on this gig I barely broke even. If I do make any profit then I do give some to the bands.
I'd appreciate it if you didn't make me out to be a money-grabbing ba*tard. Thanks. And if anyone wants a gig, feel free to visit my myspace page at www.myspace.com/clubuncooked
