It's been a while since our last blog so it's time to catch up with what's been happening in the world of the id over the last few months.
Mini tour of London pub rock and punk theme pubs.
On the 07/08/08 we played the legendary Hope & Anchor. The upstairs bar is a kind of shrine to the gigs they had on in the late 1970's such as the Front_Row_Festival. You could have seen X-Ray Spex and the Stranglers for £1 in 1978 you know. Never mind it's 2008 and here's evidence of us performing an incendiary "End Is Nigh" to bemused punters and one freaky dancer. Respect!
We followed this up with a gig at the Dublin Castle on the bank holiday Monday 25/08/08. This pub is like a shrine to Madness although I did notice a few Pete Doherty signed photos sneaking in behind the bar and that can't be right.
Many thanks to to the Surbiton Arts lab and friends for turning out!
On the 13/10/08 we performed at Artsfest at The Flapper. We dropped half of our set to perform an extended improvisation with vocal watkins echo interjections. Unfortunately no recordings survived of this gig , we think some of the tonal vibrations that we achieved may have malfunctioned the mini-disk. You can however read a review from the BBC correspondent at this link.
Radio Session
In our previous blog I mentioned that we had been played at half time at Molineux. Well it turns out that the DJ involved, Jason Forrest, also does a show for WCR and wanted us in for a session on his show. Thanks Jason!

Jason Forrest
We had to busk it and there were a lot of technical difficulties but it's still an amusing listen.
SPACEROCK!

We supported Omnia Opera on their first gig in birmingham for 15 years at the Green Street Warehouse. Here's an article from the Birmingham Post Link This gig had the feel of a mid-80's gig at the Mermaid pub in Sparkhill (sadly no longer in business) with a self constructed stage and sound system and a psychedelic lightshow provided by Catweasel.
Windscale provided a great set of circuit bent drone rock as well and it was a top night all round. You can see a selection of photos on our myspace.
2009
We are planning to hopefully do some recording next month and then return with a vengeance for more gigs in early 2009. In the meantime we'll be putting up various live recordings from 2008 on our myspace player for your delectation.
Keep 'em peeled
